The problem

You know something is off. You just can't see the whole picture.

The visible problem is usually downstream from the real constraint. I see the clue — then investigate the system behind it.

What most people see
"The location looks a little tired."
What I see

Faded parking lines and neglected landscaping usually mean ownership standards have stopped reaching the front line — a leadership finding wearing a landscaping costume.

What most people see
"We have plenty of products on display."
What I see

Too many display models creates visual confusion, weakens prioritization, and makes every sales conversation harder. The showroom is arguing with the sales team.

What most people see
"Our operations manager is experienced."
What I see

Experience isn't the same as building leaders and removing recurring constraints. Sometimes the person everyone relies on is the reason the business can't grow past them.

What's actually holding the business back?

Enter your website above and I'll scan it on the spot — a real 17-point inspection covering visibility, trust, conversion, and tech, scored like a report card. Then, if you want the deeper look, an 8-question owner's check covers what no scanner can see — leadership, people, operations, follow-through.

Full-operation inspection

I examine the business the way a buyer would.

More marketing can't fix weak follow-up. Better sales can't fix broken fulfillment. New hires can't fix unclear leadership. I evaluate how the whole company works together — then sequence the fixes in the order that creates the most leverage.

First impression

Exterior, parking, signage, showroom, cleanliness — what a customer decides before anyone speaks.

Sales & marketing

Website, local search, leads, follow-up, scripts, and where prospects fall out between click and invoice.

Leadership

Managers, meetings, decision rights, and whether accountability actually reaches the front line.

People

Hiring, roles, training, retention — and the hidden leaders you already employ but haven't promoted.

Operations

Workflow, inventory, handoffs, speed, quality — and whether the wrong person is capping your growth.

Profitability

Pricing, margins, waste, capacity, and how dependent the whole machine still is on you.

What you actually get

Not a report. A punch list.

Every audit opens with your three primary constraints — the issues most limiting growth right now — then the full numbered findings behind them, each with evidence, the cost of leaving it alone, and the fix. Plus a recorded walkthrough in plain English, in the order I'd attack it.

Three ways to work together

Start with the audit. Everything else is optional.

The audit is a complete, standalone product — you can take the punch list to your own team or agency and never talk to me again. Most clients don't, but you can.

How the audit runs

Five business days, start to walkthrough.

Day 1

Access & intake

A 30-minute owner interview and a short checklist: analytics, ad accounts, reviews, and how the team actually runs. Read-only access — I never touch anything.

Days 2–3

The inspection

I go through everything — your funnel as a live customer, your digital presence, your reviews, and what they reveal about the operation behind them. Every issue gets logged with evidence and a dollar figure.

Day 4

Ranking & write-up

Findings get ranked by financial impact against effort to fix, then sequenced into a 90-day order of attack.

Day 5

The walkthrough

You get the document plus a recorded video where I walk every finding, then a live call for questions.

Eric Odom, marketing diagnostician

The person behind the red pen

Eric Odom

I'm a marketing diagnostician. My whole career has been walking into businesses and finding what's broken — across brand, design, strategy, operations, and the customer's actual experience — and then fixing it in the right order.

As Senior Marketing Director for a 58-unit Wendy's franchise group — serving 12+ million customers a year with a workforce of 2,250+ — that approach earned me Wendy's national Marketer of the Year in 2014, and a seat contributing strategic input to the brand's 2013 national repositioning. Since then I've spent over a decade running my own organization — which means I've sat on your side of the table, signing the checks and wondering what they buy.

I'm not an agency. I don't sell you media, and I don't get a commission on anything I recommend. That's the point.

Before you ask

The questions operators actually have.

Who actually does the work?

Me. No junior analysts, no white-labeled offshore team, no handoff. The person with the Wendy's plaque is the person in your ad account, and the person on your walkthrough call.

What do you need from me?

About 45 minutes total: a 30-minute owner interview — your goals, your team, your concerns — plus read-only access to analytics, ads, and reviews. I look — I never touch. Everything stays exactly as I found it.

What if you don't find anything?

Then you don't pay. If the audit doesn't surface issues worth at least 10× the fee, it's free. In a decade of doing this across restaurants, retail, and services, that refund has never been requested — most businesses are leaking far more than $15,000.

Am I obligated to hire you after?

No, and that's the point. The punch list is written so any competent team — yours, your agency's, or a freelancer's — can execute it. Some clients keep me on to run the fixes. Plenty don't. The audit is complete either way.

What if I disagree with a finding?

Good — push back. Every finding ships with its evidence: the data, the recording, the screenshot. On the walkthrough call we argue about it like adults. If I'm wrong, I'll say so; the list is only useful if you trust every line on it.

Will AI make the recommendations?

AI helps me organize evidence, spot patterns, and draft faster — it's part of why the audit costs $1,500 instead of $15,000. But an experienced operator decides what actually matters, and decisions about your people and leadership are never delegated to a score. The judgment is mine; the AI carries the clipboard.

Why is it $1,500 flat instead of a proposal?

Because proposals are a sales tactic and this isn't a sales process. Fixed scope, fixed price, five business days. If your situation genuinely needs more than the audit covers, I'll tell you that on the intro call — before you've paid anything.

Two audit slots per month

You don't need forty new ideas. You need the three that matter most.

Tell me enough to know if it's a fit. I'll personally reply within one business day with a yes or a no — I only take audits I'm confident will pay for themselves.

Best fit: owner-led, customer-facing companies — one or more locations, roughly 15–150 employees, and a real trigger: stalled sales, inconsistent locations, weak accountability, or owner overload.
